Airplane go brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

So what went down past the race track? Airport Plaza. God, that was ages ago. At the time of writing (Feb 2022) this has been gone for nearly a year. An aeroplane themed dark ride, Turkey HQ, a monorail and a rollercoaster were built here. Of those, only 1 still stands and that is Turkey HQ, which has been changed.

Turkey HQ was supposed to be a build showcase, so people could built mini dioramas, and it would be a little art museum that would empty every month for something new. I'll admit now, the idea was rather meh. Turkey HQ still stood as it was for months with 1 diorama built by me (Sophie) but it did close around March time? (I remember designing a custom construction wall around March, I was 100% in year 11 because I drew the art for it in class on spare paper)

The aeroplane ride was simply a 'tour of the world' filled with crappy puns in the terminal. The decent scenes of different places were decked with armour stands dressed as members of Cod Gang. At the end, everybody would wave standing on a big plane (which was added a week later to fix the plain black room at the end), and this was removed again because someone pointed out it looked just a little bit like a nazi salute.

We have pictures of it, although not many. The backups from back then are lost to time and any old screenshots not saved anywhere were on my old laptop. But we have this picture of the terminal room (with cursed FOV, sorry about that)

As for the rollercoaster there isn't much about it. It took place in a smallish building and it was pitch black with redstone torches providing minimal lighting. We killed it off around February 2021.

As for the monorail it was pretty basic and was still there until the 1 year anniversary in January 2022. Although it changed lots you probably remember it. If not, maybe this youtube video might jog your memory: https://youtu.be/V-Q3WH4L2Bs

Also a nice touch is that the video was filmed before the area became Mesa Country and was still Airport Plaza. At least something was preserved. If you have a keen eye you can see that Spencer's Treehouse from Ash's server built in front of Turkey HQ. As a surprise project I started building a dark ride based on Ash's server in Turkey HQ around then but the project was scrapped. The half complete ride sat there until I redid Turkey HQ in January 2022.
