Carnivals and Carnage

I aimed to do two things in February. An expansion to the 'theme park' esque areas of the realm and a new hub full of exciting minigames. Both of these ambitious projects came to fruition and both can actually still be seen just as they were a year ago today!

First, the Turkey Carnival. A traditional fun fair where you got tickets upon entry and had to pay tickets to go to shops and ride rides. The 'intensity' of the ride determined its price. We had the following: -Orange Building 2 (2 Tickets) -Flying (2 Tickets) -Jungle Dark Ride (1 Ticket) -Rollercoaster (3 Tickets) -Hat Shop (1 Ticket) -Beer Stand (1 Ticket) -Race Track 2 (2 Tickets) -Leviathan Lagoon (3 Tickets)

Let's go over each one by one.

Orange Building 2 was a continuation of the now gone Orange Building. You would head out into the night and into a volcano. It wasn't free from its flaws though. People would get off thinking it broke when your cart stops in a dark room. Although it was the first ride I made with a multi-cart loader, which I still use today. You can find it in the carnival today but I did tear off the front intending to rebuild it (never did it lol). You can still ride it though. There aren't any pictures of the old exterior. Lost to time, sadly, but here is the old interior queue room.

Flying is a ride in which you fly. Totally not on barrier blocks. You fly around little scenes. It's really nice and I reccomend you try it out sometime. Also a clone of it called Bedwars the Ride was built in the main area in January 2022. Both are good but take it from me, you can't beat the OG one. Jungle Dark Ride was never named. You pass through giant plants, into the dark depths and go down a long ramp along the treetops. There are actually 3 versions of this. The OG in the carnival has armour stands and mapart. There is a clone next to DarkRide Lagoon built in Jan 2022, which is missing some stuff. There is also one inside one of the buildings at the Biome Wars Plaza but why its there beats me. This was a year ago lol. I can't remember.

Rollercoaster is a basic rollercoaster. There is a cool firework 'splash' at the end though.

Hat Shop lets you buy a hat in any basic colour.

Beer stand sells honey renamed 'beer'

Race Track 2 is another race track based on the existing one. Spencer did not build this with me, and that is why it sucked. It was removed around June 2021.

Leviathan Lagoon was built by me as a clone of DarkRide Lagoon, and the outisde area was built by Oscar. Both lagoons have pros and cons. Spencer's has the better interior ride, Oscar's has the better outside. Maybe I should try and merge them one day? Dark Leviathan Lagoon?!

A few days later Biome Wars opened, becoming pretty much the most iconic minigame I ever made. I've been aiming to make a sequel one day, but I can't get the motivation to do so.
